What the decay curve says
Of 24,474 accounts with observable activity, 43.1% posted in the last
month, while 15.1% have been quiet for three months or more and 5.2%
for over a year. Among 24,465 accounts where both the first and the latest post are
observable, the median span between them is 5.0
years, and one in ten accounts sustains 6.9 years or
longer. The picture is consistent with a creator economy where most accounts are
short-lived experiments and a durable minority does the sustained publishing.
Methodology. Activity is the most recent post or profile activity
observable on each public account in the Fanswiper index (active, age-confirmed accounts;
accounts with no observable activity date are excluded from percentages). Lifespan is the
span between first and latest observed activity, which undercounts accounts that are
still going. Figures refresh continuously. Generated 2026-08-24.
